Our Meeting
We had our meeting with our contractor yesterday! Everything went as planed, we agreed on all the work that we each would do and signed our contract! We are letting him take care of the hard construction parts! lol And we are going to be doing the cleaning, deodorizing, painting, pressure washing, staining, and laying wood floors! Please pray the Lord will give me the strength and energy to get all these things done in a timely manner! And that we will have good, dry, sunny weather for several days straight, because our roof will be taken completely off and a new roof put on and it takes a few days!

Current Happenings
My husband and I are currently living with my mother, because our house caught fire in the early morning of May 23, 2008. By the Grace of God we are alive today. God blessed us with two wonderful dogs, Jake (American Eskimo) and Puppy (Wire Haired Jack Russel) whom woke us to the burning house. Well, back to the current happenings, I just got off the phone with our Contractor. We are supposed to set up a meeting to go over our contract and discuss who fixes what, time schedules, etc. The fire caused about $40,000 worth of damages. Saturday will make three months since our house caught fire. It has been a long and tiresome struggle with the insurance company. But alas, it looks like we are finally going to get started on our home.
My First Blog
This is my first blog, ever! I have been reading Candy's blog at www.keepingthehome.com for over a year now. I just recently started reading some other blogs about home keeping and decided to make a blog of my own. I am new to blogging and creating a web page, so hopefully my blog won't look too shabby! Thanks for stopping by and reading my first blog!
