I got to spend yesterday with my Best Friend Amber! We had a great time! We talked for hours, we went and ate at Gatti Land, and went to Walmart. She had some great news for me! She will be moving back at the end of this month! Yay! I'm so excited! But the reason why is kinda sad, her husband will be deploying to Afghanistan, this will be his third deployment. I know she will miss him.
I'm excited to finally get my best friend back!
Well, I better go get ready for church!

That sounds exciting for you! I was just writing some posts for the week and just got done talking about good coming from bad. The bad here being your friend's husband's deployment, and the good of course being that you will have your friend back. I will pray for his safe return! She will need your support, as well as God's right now!
It will be exciting and I'll have more opportunities to encourage her in the Lord! I try to encourage her often, but she needs a lot of prayer. She has professed to be a Christian for many years now, but I have never seen her take it any farther than that. I encourage her to read the Bible all the time, but she says she doesn't understand a word of it, so then I tell her that she needs to pray and ask for understanding and knowledge of God's Word. And after I tell her this she just refuses and says it doesn't matter anyway, the Bible has lost all meaning through translation and that they are just a bunch of stories about doing good. And I tell her the God has preserved his word for us in the Bible, and it is the true divine word of God. But she doesn't want to hear any of it, but yet professes to be a Christian. I really need to start praying harder for her and pray more for God to do his will through me. Being consistent in my prayer life is something I really need to work on.
