I try to keep it Holy.. but don't always make it to church
yes
Typically we try to make it to church and relax on Sunday. I don't clean (just tidy up when needed) and we usually after Church we'll go for lunch together as a family or buy a pie and bring it home to share.
I think that is today's "rushed" world, one of the most important things we can do for our selves and for our family, is to remember to take the time to STOP and remember why we are here and WHO is responsible for that. Our life is a gift and taking the time to acknowledge that honors the Lord and also helps us to stop and take time to smell the roses.
What is Holy to me may not be Holy to you. What is the defination of "Holy"? I think God wanted us to have a day as rest, a day just to take time out relax and reflect. Is anyone keeping it Holy while running around, sometimes one can be busier on a Sunday than any other day of the week, what is supposed to happen on the "sabbath"?
I NEVER work on Sunday. It's a family's day. But I don't go to church either. I try to spend some time with my family and relax.

well... according to the new testament we may choose the day to keep holy but we should keep one out of seven holy (dedicated to God)
Technically the Sabbath day is Saturday. I think it is okay as long as you can give one day :)
I think that there are some jobs that are necessary even on the Sabbath (EMT, firefighter, etc...). In addition to these critical occupations there are some jobs that need to happen in order to maintain our standard of living. I think that even the most conservative religious leader would have a problem if the lights were to go out and stay out during the Sunday service just because nobody was working.
I also think that there would be a lot less demand for people to work on Sunday if we would be better Christians and stop shopping on Sunday.

Nobody seems to know which is the seventh day of the week. I just did a search on the internet and was given a choice of Saturday or Sunday. So the next thing I did was to do a search for the first day of the week. Strange how the same site had Sunday as both the first and last day of the week. All the sites I saw had Sunday as the first day and not the seventh day. The Bible tells me that Christ rose on the first day of the week. Most people believe he rose on Sunday. There is far more to study if anyone is still uncertain. I've been keeping the seventh-day Sabbath (Saturday) my whole life and have been richly blessed. It is SO refreshing to spend a day without the worries and cares of the week and simply spend time with the Lord being recharged for the new week. God lovingly gave us guidelines on how to keep it in His Word too. As for the day mattering: God only blessed and sanctified 1 day. It was the earth's official "birthday" - it cannot be changed, nor can it's blessing fall on another day. Yes, we must spend every day in the Lord's presence, but the Sabbath is the day he set appart as holy.
