I was supposed to post pictures of the scarf I made almost a week ago! I'm so sorry for the delay! This morning I made a baby washcloth and I'm currently working on a baby towel to match! I don't know who I'm going to bless these two items with yet, I have two people in mind. I'll just have to wait and see!
Thanks! You should make one! Its fun! I love making things. I absolutely love your apron that you are giving away! Its made me want to try to make one! I've been wanting to make one for months now, but have been too afraid to try. I bought a pattern several months ago, but I can't figure patterns out. I find it really hard to read them. I've been trying to go to a sewing class for about a month now, maybe I'll get to go soon, and I'll learn how to read a pattern! lol
Sometimes I have a hard time reading the pattern too...my WONDERFUL Mom helps me! I did take a sewing class when I was 10 (I think) and that really helped:)
I can't wait to learn! lol I have been trying to get my mom interested in making things. I think she would enjoy it! Your lucky to have a mom who knows so much!
This is a nice scarf! I like to crochet myself: scarves and afghans are fun. Is this knit? Fleece is good too! I too want to learn how to sew. My mother-in-law is a sewer... actually does it as a business. She's WONDERFUL! I don't think she wants to teach me though. She always says she doesn't have the patience for that kind of stuff, so maybe I will take a class too. I took one in high school, but I forgot everything (I'm an old fogy now:)). Keep up the good work!!
I would love to know how to crochet! lol I made it on a loom, called the Knifty Knitter. It is the Lion's Brand Homespun yarn. I have a Great Grandma in her 90's that knows how to sew really good, but she is not a good teacher, at all! No patience while teaching, but she has patience for everything else! lol Some people just don't make good teachers! She can make anything, just can't teach others to. And she don't know how to read patterns either.
I just wish I had more time to crochet! I love it, I really do. It's very relaxing. And I think you have inspired me to take a local sewing class. It would be nice to have that for my daughters and I to do too. And also it looks like I may have that same yarn that I was going to make my mom a sweater with a couple of years ago for Christmas! Isn't that funny?
I have old projects that I have yet to finish too! I have two quilt tops that I made about 4 or 5 years ago, that I haven't yet finished. I plan to one day, lol. Quilt tops are easy, thats as far as I got. I did quilt a pillow one time, but never finished. Wow, it seems that most of my projects are unfinished.... Maybe one of my goals for the new year should be to finish projects that I start! lol
I do a lot of that unfinished stuff too. I don't know what it is, but I have a couple of baby blankets and a few scarves I never finished. I also have to finish cross-stitching my 18-month-old's stocking! Yeah, she hasn't had her stocking for 2 years now.
Yeah, the pattern thing is probably going to be my challenge too. So we will see. That will be something for me to look into!

My problems with sewing are:
I can't read a pattern and I'm unsure of myself.
If I could get past my unsureness, maybe I could get somewhere.
I do a lot of that unfinished stuff too. I don't know what it is, but I have a couple of baby blankets and a few scarves I never finished. I also have to finish cross-stitching my 18-month-old's stocking! Yeah, she hasn't had her stocking for 2 years now.

When you do finish some of your stuff, I'd love to see it! You could make a post out of it sometime!
Yes I could and maybe I should do that. It might give me an incentive to FINISH THEM!!
I really love this blogging stuff. Thanks for talking with me SaChay!
