Tired....

All of the construction was supposed to be completed by this past Friday, but that did not happen. But no worries, it got completed on Tuesday. So, I started taking down wallpaper yesterday. What a job! I started taking it down at 11 a.m. and worked on it until 10 p.m. last night! I still did not get it all down. I'd say the bottom layer of wallpaper has probably been on there for 20 or 30 years. And once you get the wall paper off then there is this horrible glue you have to scrub off the walls! My aunt suggested using 1 part Downy mixed with 1 part water and spraying it on the walls. I took her suggestion of the Downy and water mixture except I did not put it in a spray bottle, I poured it in a paint try and used a paint roller. It done a pretty good job, with a lot of hard work! I was just wondering if there is anything easier out there to get wallpaper and wallpaper glue off? Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated! I am so tired! I haven't worked that hard, non-stop, in a while! I'm going to rest and do my normal chores today, and call and set up appointments for inspections, getting our phone turned back on, our air conditioner and gas furnace checked out and the gas turned back on. Then I'll start back on the wallpaper tomorrow. I'll also be pulling up linoleum flooring and prepping our hardwood floors for sanding and refinishing, which we'll be doing on Saturday. I should have a few people helping me Saturday. Pray that God will give us the knowledge and wisdom to know what to do, and the strength and energy to do it!

Easy Banner

I finally figured out how to make myself a banner! Yay! It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, It was quiet fun! I made my banner in Paint. I found me a pretty background and some pictures. I just opened everything in different pages and adjusted the sizes. I copied and pasted my photos onto the background, then outlined the photos with different colors. And then added my title last. The hardest part about it was getting my banner the same size as the box for the header.

Update!

Its been a month and a half since I last blogged, I started this blog with the intention of blogging daily, maybe even a couple times a day. A few things have changed in my life since the last time I blogged. As you know, my husband and I are currently living with my mother. When we first moved in, we were living with my mother only. Her and my stepfather were separated, and with only three of us living here and my husband and mother at work, I could keep the house very well and submerge myself in the Lord. But since my step father has moved in, I have become lazy and distracted from my work and the word of God. It is not his fault, its mine. I really need to work on my self discipline.

We have also added a new addition to the family. On October 1, we got ourselves another little boy! His name is Cocoa, he is a handsome little Yorkshire Terrier. he will be one year old on October 19! And then November 23, is the birthday of our baby boy, Puppy! I plan on doing some research on making baked treats for doggies, so we can celebrate their birthdays!

Update on the house! All of the construction is supposed to be completed today! Yay! But now is going to be the hard part! My husband and I have a lot of work to do ourselves before we can move back in! We are going to be doing the cleaning, deodorizing, painting, pressure washing, staining, and laying and restoring wood floors! Please pray for us! Pray the Lord will give us the strength and energy to get all these things done by next week! We have been away from our home for so long. We are very excited and happy to know it is just a matter of a week or two, until we are home again!
