Sweet Love

"But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank oh his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter."
II Samuel 12:3

As I read this verse, it put a huge smile on my face and reminded me of my babies. I thought of my Puppy and how I snuggle him, and feed him of my plate and water of my cup. I thought how wonderful this is, people thousands of years ago treated their animals as their children like some of us do today. It brought such joy to my heart. I love my animals. They are my children.

But if you keep reading the story isn't happy ever after. This is a parable about King David and what he has done to Uriah. Go read and find out what happens next!

Yard Sale-ing

My sister-in-law and I started yard sale-ing the first week of November. We sold up until the first week of December, then it got too cold. We did pretty good during this time. We also found out what sold good for us and what didn't. I have figured out that you either need a professional looking table with all new stuff, or just yard sale stuff. When you try to do a mix of both, the new or homemade stuff just don't sell. I have done the best at selling used clothes for $1 or $2 for each piece.

We started sale-ing again the second week of March and sold for three consecutive Fridays. We have done horrible so far this year and have decided to wait until the weather warms up. I have only made $25 in the past three weeks we went to sale. So, counting my gas there and back and food, it hasn't been worth it. Hopefully, we'll do better when warmer weather comes!

Back to School

I started back to school about two and a half weeks ago. I'm currently taking Microeconomics, in a bi-term, online class. A bi-term class only lasts 8 weeks, so you do a semester worth of work in only half the time. I'm only taking one class, because college is expensive! I figure I can take one or two classes a semester until I finish up my degree. I am pursuing a general Associate in Applied Science degree. I only need seven more classes, after finishing up Microeconomics. After obtaining my AS degree, I plan on transferring to a four year college to further my education even more, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens when I get there. Life is always changing and you have to find joy in whatever circumstance the Lord puts before you.

College was never a priority for me, I've never wanted a career. The thing I've always wanted the most was children. I've waited almost six years now, and I still have no children. So I decided I had better quit sitting here waiting, I'd better put to use the life the Lord has given me. So, I decided to go back to school, while I wait on the Lord and His perfect timing.
