What I'm doing Today

Right now I'm getting ready to complete one of my goals I posted a few days ago.
  • Bless Goodwill with a load of stuff, before this year is over.
And after I drop it off I'll be heading to church for the Night Watch Service. I first started attending this church exactly one year ago today, when I attended their Night Watch Service last year. Its hard to believe its already been a year, time has flew by.

Christmas

It has been so busy since Christmas! Christmas was great! Got to see lots of family and spend lots of time with them. The presents were the best we had ever gotten and I would say it is due to the hard economic times. This year there wasn't as many presents to go around, but they were very practical and will be used! I got a new to me (used) Kenmore sewing machine, which I can't wait to try out! A Gorgeous curio cabinet, which didn't cost my parents a fortune! School books for next semester, which I was in great need of. And my favorite present of all, a pressure canner! Now I must study up on growing a garden and canning!!! I can't wait to get started!

We had a very happy and blessed Christmas, Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ! I hope you were very blessed this Christmas too!

The Christmas Story

Luke - Chapter 2

1And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

2([And] this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

3And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

4And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

5To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

6And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

7And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

15And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

17And when they had seen [it], they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

18And all they that heard [it] wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

19But Mary kept all these things, and pondered [them] in her heart.

20And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

21And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Blessings

I decided I would bless my mom today. I went and helped her clean her house before Christmas. By deciding to be a blessing God doubly blessed me. I had been wanting Biscuits, Eggs, Gravy, and Sausage for quite sometime and that is exactly what I got at my mom's house for dinner tonight! Then one of my aunts blessed me with a brand new set of cookers, which we where in desperate need of. Isn't it so good that God knows our wants and needs and desires to bless us!

Things To Do Before January 11th!

While in between semesters at school, I have been thinking about some things I would like to get accomplished before the next semester begins. Because I know once school starts back I won't have this extra time on my hands. I'm expecting next semester to be the hardest of all. I will be taking English II, College Algebra, Anatomy I with Lab, and Heath and Nutrition. These classes will be energy and time consuming, so I'd like to get as much as possible accomplished before I go back on January 11th.

Things I Would Like To Do:
  • Plan a new routine of things to do that is specific to each day of the week.
  • Have the new routine implemented!
  • Deep clean Kitchen, Hallway, and Bathroom.
  • Paint Kitchen, Hallway, and Bathroom, including the cabinets.
  • Organize Laundry room, including sewing and knitting supplies.
  • Clean out and organize closets.
  • Bless Goodwill with a load of stuff, before this year is over.
If anyone would like to leave some organization tips or links that would help organize sewing or knitting supplies, it would be very appreciated. I have always had trouble getting my craft supplies organized.

Life Is Changing

I haven't blogged in quite a while. As you all know I started back college this past August and just finished up this semester this past week. I go to the local community college and there isn't very much to choose from, so I finally choose to major in Dental Hygiene. I don't remember if I shared or not, but the reason I started back to college is because my Husband asked me to while I still had the chance.

From the time that I decided on a major my thoughts have been changing. My dreams and desires are still to be a housewife and a homeschooling mother, but lately I have been thinking about something quite different. I have been thinking maybe I should continue with school and get my degree and work until God blesses my Husband and I with children. Which I hope I don't go childless that long, because graduation is still at least two years away. But I was thinking we would be better off financially if I could get my degree and work long enough to help pay the house down quite a bit or even pay it off. And once we had children I would then get to stay at home with them and we would have less financial strain. Just a thought.

On another note, at the beginning of this month I decided to make an appointment with an OBGYN, to talk to them about getting pregnant. I called and the earliest they could get me in was March 4th. I thought that was quite a long time to wait. :(

It feels good to leave you all a message! Hopefully I'll be blogging regularly again! :)

I'd like to know what you think about my thoughts. About working until the Lord sees fit to bless us with children.
